Yesterday was a rest day, and there is not a lot to say about today's run.
It was a treadmill run for 40 min, 3.5 miles. I had to do a one minute walking break during miles 2 and 3.
Finished off with 20 lunges and 55 stability ball crunches. My sciatic nerve pain makes the crunches a bit painful.
My plan this week is to run 3 days in a row, today, tomorrow, and Friday.
I am still perusing other 1/2 marathon training plans.... in search of the perfect plan!!
Tuesday nite was our 1 week weigh in for West Jordan's Biggest Loser Competition.
I lost 1.2 pounds, but i think it was because i wore lighter clothes this week.
Some people lost a lot of weight for one week, one man even lost 14 pounds. I am beginning to think that he and possibly others wore hidden ankle or wrist weights on the initial weigh in. That is a lot of weight to lose in one week!!
This blog is a journal about my journey from being an overweight 54 year old recreational runner through training and Finishing my first marathon in October 2012!

remember the weight loss is healthier and easier to keep off if you lose it slow. those people probably lost a lot of water weight and drastically changed their eating and exercising. those changes rarely last in the long haul.. 1.2 pounds is great. over the year you will lose over 60 pounds if you keep it up! you are doing awesome !!!
ReplyDeleteWhoo hoo! 60 would be awesome!!!!
ReplyDeleteyou can do it!!! i have complete confidence and faith in you
